Harp Therapy

What is Harp Therapy?

It is a way of using sound of harp to bring comfort and connection to people with various kind of stress.   My tool is a harp and I hope to create a gentle “cradle of sound”. It is a gift to be fully present to another person.  It is an ancient art that has been revived recently.

The common areas of therapy are for anxiety, fear, pain and depression and also for breathing.  Often, therapeutic musicians work at hospitals, rehabilitation centers and hospice to promote healing. And Healing means not cure, but bring mind/body/spirit to a state of oneness.   Sometimes people release emotions with tears, or they can fall into much needed sleep.

What’s most important for me is to pay total respect to the person at that moment in time and place.
